The basic aim of MUN is to inculcate in students a deep interest in international relations. politics, and current affairs. By discussing a range of historic events and current day crises, an MUN promises to enrich a students mind and allows them to have an express a different perspective. It encourages peaceful negotiation and arbitration, use of quick wit, and tests skills of diplomacy. An MUN promises to be an enriching and awakening experience.
La Martiniere Calcutta Model United Nations is a three-day simulation of international relations for high school students held annually in May. At LMCMUN, we seek to give the delegates an insight into the missions and working of the United Nations as well as the dynamics of international diplomacy by simulating both UN and specialized committees. LMCMUN is a brilliant platform and an exciting opportunity for students to deliberate on issues that have or had confronted the leaders and draft resolutions in response to these global issues. Above all, LMCMUN is a platform where the delegates can interact and work with other pupils who are equally motivated about responding to global concerns.
With a decade of experience and success, LMCMUN 2019 is a culmination of years of gradual refinement. Since its inception, the conference has only expanded in both size and diversity. Nonetheless, we are fully committed to ensuring that this year is bigger and better than ever.
